Music & AV

1. Can I play my own music?

Yes, if you book the entire venue, otheriwse we will play our special curated music for all the guests

2. Can I bring my own DJ or Band?

Yes you may bring your own DJ or band for special occasions, however: - we must review their profile in advance - you must submit samples of the music you intend to play - the DJ or Band needs to adhere to our venue's sound level requirement - exclusive booking of the venue is required

3. Do you have DJ and band equipments?

Yes the mermaid has all the equipment and speakers for a party up to 250guests which you can rent from us, please enquire further on the pricing.

4. Do you provide live bands and DJs for events?

Yes we do, however a minimum spending has to be spent, if not additional charges will be incurred. (Min. spending varies depending on the day of the week, eg. Weekends/PH/PH eve will incur a higher spending)

Setup & Logistics

1. Do you have a microphone, speakers, projectors & screens?

Yes we do have these, do enquire further on the prices

2. When can I set up for my event?

Please submit your proposed setup plan and timing to our events team for approval, we suggest a min of 1 week prior to the confirmation of the event, 30 days prior to the event day itself

3. Can I bring in my own sound equipment?

The mermaid provides all AV equipments needed. If however in the event that we are unable to provide, please submit a proposed set up and timing for our events team to coordinate closely with you.

4. Do you provide parking at The Mermai

We have a 30-bay car park that is located directly outside the venue entrance, and another 100-bay car park beside the building.

Seatings & Capacities

1. Maximum Capacitiy

The current maximum venue capacity is 250pax These capacities are accurate for the spaces in their normal configurations. Alternative setups eg. buffet tables, may slightly reduce these capacities. Additional seatings can be provided with standing configurations.

2. What happens if it rains?

The Mermaid is an indoor restaurant, but however if you require additional assistance during the event of heavy pour, our staff will always be delighted to assist you further.

3. Can I rent the whole venue for an exclusive event?

Yes you can book the whole venue subjected to the minimum spending. (Min. spending varies depending on the day of the week, eg. Weekends/PH/PH eve will incur a higher spending)

4. Can I rent just a part of the venue for my event?

Yes we can carve out an area within the venue to match your budget and requirements (Min. spending varies depending on the day of the week, eg. Weekends/PH/PH eve will incur a higher spending)

Deposits, Payments & Min Spendings

1. Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, for all events we require a deposit of 50% of the event value to secure the space. The space cannot be confirmed until the agreement/contract is signed and deposits are received. Once the above requirements are submitted, our manager will confirm the event via email.

2. How do I pay the deposit?

- Bank Transfer - Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard) - Cheque

3. What is ++ in the final bill?

+ 10% Service Charge and + GST 9%

4. Are there any other cost I will need to consider other than food and beverage cost?

If the minimum spending is not there, you will need to incur extra charges for these extra services: eg. - Live Bands - DJs - Venue Charges - AV Equipment Rental - Projector Rental - Stage Rental etc.

5. What if I don't reach the minimum amount?

A venue charge will be applied additionally. This venue charge depends on the day of the week, eg Fri/Sat/PH/PH Eve will incur a higher cost
